September is Community Impact Month, which gives Minnesota Bankers Association member banks a focused period to engage in community service activities and show how banks play a vital role in supporting their communities.

Part of Drake Bank’s mission focuses on building a better future for everyone. To give back, the team participated in three events throughout the month.

Every Meal

The first volunteer event was at Every Meal, where team members had the opportunity to pack bags of food to help fill the weekend food gap for students in Minnesota. Each bag contains approximately four meals of nutritious, delicious, and relevant food.

Our team helped pack 3,954 bags, totaling 15,156 meals!

Kids In Need Foundation – Tie Blankets

The second event was at the Kids In Need Foundation, which partners with teachers and students in underserved schools nationwide to help them focus on education.

Our team members volunteered throughout the workday to make five tie blankets, which teachers can use in their classrooms.

Park Clean Up

Earlier this year, Drake Bank adopted Weschcke Park in West St. Paul. Throughout the spring and fall, team members go to the park to pick up trash and fallen branches to help keep the park clean.
