The grand marshal for July 4 Eagan Grand Day Parade has been a leader in the community for decades.

Scott Swenson, 65, moved to Eagan 37 years ago. He said he is proud to tout city assets, but most of all, he talks about residents, city leaders, community leaders, volunteers, and the benefits of making a home in this city.

The community is invited to see him lead the parade at 10 a.m. Tuesday, July 4, as he rides in a convertible, sitting next to his wife, Carol. Celebrating with them will be Minneapolis Aquatennial Queen of the Lakes Kaia Schomburg, as Swenson is the 2023 Commodore.
