Volunteering is not just about lending a helping hand; it’s about making a meaningful difference in the lives of others and creating a ripple effect through our community. The Drake Bank team focuses on building a better future for our communities every day as part of our mission.
Every year, team members receive 8 hours of volunteer time, allowing team members to find ways to help the local community.
Over the last 20+ years of being in business, Drake Bank has focused efforts to give back to the community in various ways. From packing meals for starving children overseas and school supplies for underserved schools to volunteering during the pandemic and hosting food drives to help local food shelves, every small act of volunteerism contributes to the greater good.
Volunteering is about building connections and fostering a sense of belonging within the community. The Westside Neighborhood in West St. Paul, the neighborhood where our Bank is located, is a close-knit, diverse community that has a lot to give and many ways to get involved.
This year, to celebrate National Volunteer Week and Earth Day, the Bank partnered with DARTS to help an older homeowner clean up their yard for Spring. DARTS focuses on empowering older adults in Dakota County through the aging journey.
Additionally, Drake Bank adopted a park in West St. Paul. Our team will volunteer time in Spring and Autumn to help keep the park clean and safe.
Volunteering benefits both the community and the individuals who participate. Through volunteering, individuals can gain valuable experience, expand their networks, boost mental well-being, and provide a sense of purpose.
By embodying the spirit of volunteerism, Drake Bank demonstrates its dedication to its surrounding communities by following our values of building a better future for all.
